Why Zombies Are the Most Christmassy Thing Ever
Horrible monsters gorging themselves on human flesh and the celebration of love, friends and family? What could they possibly have in common? Well, in fact, very much!

Christmas is supposed to be the time you take extra good care of your loved ones. So what could you do? Talk to them, sit together and have a holiday dinner, exchange presents… Is that all? Well…
With zombies you could really do something for your friends and family: save each other’s lives, for a start. Surviving in a hostile environment, watching out for each other, building a new life together… Wouldn’t that really weld you together? Wouldn’t that reflect the real Christmas spirit? Hell, yeah!

But what’s Christmas really about? Presents, of course! Shiny new things we give each other to show our love. But we live in a society of wealth and abundance, so they don’t make us happy for a very long time. That would definitely change after a zombie apocalypse! Some ammunition, a box of antibiotics or a can of beans could make for an awesome Christmas present your loved ones would appreciate for a long time!
But every major catastrophe could do that, you’ll remark. Well, of course the apocalypse could also be initiated by flying pigs from outer space. But that’s a whole new threat, while in a zombie apocalypse we all are zombies inside and could finally turn into them in every moment. In fact, we ourselves are the menace. That gives us a whole new awareness of our lives’ vanity.
So zombies could show us what’s important in life again and bring us closer together. That’s true Christmas spirit!
I don’t want to evoke the zombie apocalypse but I’ll definitely watch some zombie movies over the holidays :-)
I wish you happy holidays and a delicious Christmas feast!
