I’m going away for the weekend to visit some friends. So in view of the occasion here’s a song one of them wrote. Sadly, it’s in German, but basically, it’s about a young man who asks his beloved for a dance at a festivity. They dance and the young man imagines their future together and wishes with all his heart for the dance to never end, until the music stops and his beloved…
…returns to her fiancé.
He certainly doesn’t have the heart of a wedding crasher. Sad, sad stuff, folks! I hope, your weekend will be fun, though :-)
By the way: Actually, this musical genre is called filk, but my friend insists that what she does is just music, because the term filk sounds ridiculous. I tend to agree.
