The official language of Moldova is Moldovan, which is basically the same as Romanian. It is based on the Latin alphabet. But Russian is also widely spoken, since Russian was the official language alongside Moldovan when Moldova was part of the Soviet Union. Russian-Moldovan bilingualism is characteristic for Moldova.
